The mNCEA has announced the release of year two research outputs:
- A Seascape Natural Capital Approach for Sustainable Management (Cefas) – This project develops comparative case studies for natural capital-based evaluations and assessments for applied marine management and strengthens the evidence base for evaluating cultural services provided by the marine and coastal environment.
- Place-Based Assessment – Natural Capital Approaches to Support Local and Strategic Planning for Marine Recovery (Natural England) – This project develops our understanding of different local contexts and priorities to provide evidence and tools to support nature recovery on the ground.
- Marine Natural Capital Approach to Achieving Good Environmental Status (JNCC) – This project evaluates how marine natural capital approaches can be used to strengthen the assessment of Good Environmental Status (GES) in UK seas. It develops a series of foundational evidence products to better understand the socioeconomic impacts of achieving, or failing to achieve, GES for different ecosystem components in the UK Marine Strategy.
