The record-breaking eighth asset management period (AMP8) comes at a critical time for the water sector in England and Wales. Next month AMP8 will begin its roll-out, which includes a doubling of capital works, while consumer bills are due to rise by an average of £31 each year and significant funding has been committed by UK water companies.
With greater scrutiny and penalties than ever before, water companies need to deliver against their regulatory requirements and meet consumer expectations.
